Lá na Cruite │ Harp Day 2022 – Saturday 15th October
We’re delighted to announce that Lá na Cruite │ Harp Day takes place on Saturday 15th October 2022 and we’re calling on harpers, promoters, teachers and music-lovers to join us by planning a live event or by participating in one of our online initiatives.
Our theme for Lá na Cruite | Harp Day 2022 is HARPS TOGETHER. With so much division in the world, we are shining a spotlight on music’s ability to unite us. We are placing the harp at the heart of a celebration that will bring communities of people together, embracing musical and cultural differences and showcasing the glorious diversity of Ireland today. We warmly encourage harpers, event organisers and participants to play with this theme and to make it their own.
If you’d like to plan an event in your area on Saturday 15th October then we’d love to hear from you. Even if your event is in the very early stages of planning, please tell us a little bit about your plans by filling in this form so we can stay in touch and help you to promote your event https://forms.gle/RHu7tkz36Goy4gJr5
Harpers’ Call will also be back in 2022 by popular demand, and we’ll soon be inviting harpers from all over the world to submit a 2-minute performance video for broadcast on our channels.
We’ll be sharing lots more details on Lá na Cruite | Harp Day 2022 soon, so keep an eye here and on www.harpireland.ie in the coming weeks!
