Experience a new ‘take’ on Irish harping from some of our foremost young harpers. Cruit Éireann|Harp Ireland’s Sugar Club Harp Sessions continue throughout 2024 and feature innovative, cutting-edge Irish harp performances from a variety of players, pushing the boundaries of the tradition in new and exciting ways.
Our second concert on Thursday 28th March features Irish harper Joleen McLaughlin joined by her sisters, Karen and Lorna in the Irish folk trio The Henry Girls. Renowned for their enchanting melodies and captivating harmonies, and with harp as their signature instrument, they evoke the soul of Celtic tradition while infusing it with a modern edge. Their new album A Time to Grow bridges the gap between the past and the present, and their recent track with Ríoghnach Connolly, Not your fight has been nominated as ‘Best Original Folk Track’ at this year's RTÉ Radio One Folk Awards.
