Kevin Harrington is an instrument maker based in Cork, Ireland, primarily focused on modern Irish harps.
Formally trained in violin making at London Metropolitan University (formerly London School of Furniture) and the Newark School of Violin Making, Kevin worked at several violin and double bass repair workshops in London including Thwaites, Bridgewood & Neitzert, and Laurance Dixon.
In 2012 Kevin returned home to Ireland and established a workshop in Wicklow, undertaking instrument repairs, set-ups and sound adjustments, as well as making new bespoke instruments. Gradually the focus of the workshop has shifted towards making modern Irish harps as well as early Irish harps. In the summer of 2021 Kevin relocated back to his hometown of Cork City.
Clients range from professional to amateur, orchestral, jazz and traditional musicians alike.
