Ballyfermot College of Further Education’s Irish Traditional Music and Instrument Making Course

Congratulations to Na Píobairí Uilleann and particularly to the students of the Ballyfermot College of Further Education’s Irish Traditional Music and Instrument Making Course on completing such beautiful harps under the tutelage of harp maker Jan Muyllaert. Fionntan Byrne of NPU expertly coordinated all aspects of the course – the syllabus, sourcing specialist equipment and also facilitating Jan. BCFE are the first college to run a course of this nature. It is a wonderful start and only good things can accrue.

If you would like to develop your harp making skills or have an interest in making your own instrument, this course could be for you. From September 2021 the course has been awarded Traineeship status while retaining the HND award and details of all our courses can be found on the college website www.bcfe.ie.
