Tomás MacUileagóid is a former Deputy Principal who taught exclusively in Gaelscoileanna. He is a multi-instrumentalist and plays traditional fiddle, flute and uilleann pipes. He has taught music on all three instruments. For 20 years Tomás was involved in Craobh Naithi CCÉ. He is involved in the World Fiddle Day Scartaglin festival and has been centrally involved in the ‘Handed Down’ series in Scartaglin since its inception. He has digitised Traditional Tunebooks for Craobh Naithí CCÉ, and has recorded a series of concerts given by masters of the tradition which are available in ITMA. He also published a collection of traditional music from the North Kerry region called ‘Drawing from the Well”.

Tomás learned the craft of harp making from Colm Ó Meachair, and continues to restore Colm’s work , as well as making commissioned harps under his Eala Harps label.
