Cruitirí Cill Mhantáin

On Friday 10th May, Cruit Éireann | Harp Ireland presented a unique programme in the historic surroundings of Coollattin House, Co. Wicklow. Cruitirí Cill Mhantáin brought together some of Wicklow’s finest musical talent in harpers Aisling Ennis, Rachel Duffy and flute player Jack Hennessy in a celebration of heritage, culture and music.

Exploring themes of folklore and fairies, the evening’s performances traversed a wide range of musical styles, set against the airy backdrop of Coollattin House. Aisling Ennis’ performance drew together works from classical and traditional repertoires, connected by the theme of Ceol Sí – Fairy Music, while Duffy and Hennessy’s collaboration presented a selection of world music and traditional Irish repertoire.

Many thanks to The Courthouse Arts Centre, Coollattin House, The Arts Council and the Heritage Council for their support.
