Harp Day 2024 Clare
Highlights of County Clare’s Harp Day events included:
The Falls Hotel in Ennistymon held a beautiful Harp Yoga session with Sue Redmond, accompanied by the lovely sounds of Aisling Lyons and Simon O’Reilly.
Paul Dooley led a fascinating talk and demo on the Early Irish Harp at Ennistymon Library.
‘Try the Harp’ event, where newcomers explored the harp firsthand, was a highlight, and the Evening Concert at the Courthouse Gallery closed the day perfectly, with incredible performances by Paul Dooley, Kseniya Rusnak, Aisling Lyons Music, and local harp students.

Friday 18 October
A celebration concert which featured renowned harp and fiddle duo, Laoise Kelly and Tóla Custy. Awarded the TG4 Ceoltóir na Bliana in 2020, Laoise’s driving style, fluidity and creativity have revolutionised harping while Tóla draws from the Breton, Galician and Asturian traditions to create a distinctive sound all his own.
