The lunchtime concert at St. Michael’s Church, Gorey, was a wonderful showcase of local talent in celebration of Harp Day! The Wexford Harp Ensemble, directed by Aileen Kennedy, filled the space with beautiful harmonies, joined by the Mothers and Others and Dads and Lads Ensembles. The event highlighted the warmth and dedication of Wexford’s harping community, creating an unforgettable afternoon for performers and listeners alike. Thank you to everyone who joined us to support and celebrate the harp!

Johnstown Castle, Wexford, Saturday 19th October
Shelly O’Grady and Cláirsí Neamhaí filled Johnstown Castle grounds with enchanting harp music, creating an unforgettable experience for everyone present. Surrounded by the beauty of the castle, the performance immersed listeners in the rich tradition of Irish harping—a truly perfect way to celebrate Harp Day.

Barntown National School, Friday 18th October – Úna Walsh Hands on Harps Session
Barntown National School hosted a “Hands on Harps” session led by emerging harper Úna Walsh. This interactive workshop gave students a unique opportunity to experience the harp up close, sparking interest in Ireland’s national instrument among young musicians.
