Féile na hInse pays tribute to the music of Denis O’Hamsaigh (Hempson), in harp workshops, symposium and concert with harpers Laoise Kelly, Lauren O’Neill and Joleen McLaughlin.
Ensemble workshop for young musicians 10-18years in mixed instruments with Tola Custy and Karol Lynch.
Trace the journey of the Swilly Railway with a bus tour stopping off at three station houses, the Railway Tavern, The Drift Inn and the North Pole for tales, songs and tunes. Bring your stories, songs and tunes as we go on the Swilly journey.
Exhibition of Donal Glackin’s commission by Cairdeas na bhFidiléirí of portraits of Donegal fiddler players. This will be followed by Caoimhín MacAoidhs book launch, a revisit of ‘Between the Jigs and the Reels’ and a fiddle recital with Eimear McColgan, Oisin Duffy, Eamonn McGonigle and Sarah Shovlin.
